Story
On May 26th 2023, myself and 3 others will be taking in The Big Golf Race full marathon…. 72 holes of golf in one day! Without any help of buggies or trollies we will be walking and playing all 72 holes whilst carrying our golf bags to raise money for Prostate Cancer.
Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2017 and as you can imagine for all of us and our family and friends it was a scary time. The uncertainty of the situation and what is to come is a tough period in anyones life. But through the support of everyone around us and the great help and treatment dad received he is still out there swinging his clubs on a weekly basis!
We know that Dad was one of the lucky ones and that this story doesn’t always end the same. So we are taking on The Big Golf Race, to keep men in the game for longer. The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families!
Prostate Cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK, killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. Thats the same time it takes to play three holes of golf.Thats why I'm golfing the distance and taking on The Big Golf Race, to keep men in the game for longer. The money raised by this challenge will help fund research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer and provide practical support to men and their families.
Any donations which you can provide are all appreciated a huge amount!
