A couple years ago my Mommyamy (grandma) died after living with dementia for almost a decade. It was completely heartbreaking seeing her lose her sharp wit, her wicked sense of humour, her family become strangers and my wonderful and patient grandfather become her full time carer.

Alzheimer’s is such a cruel disease that is robbing so many of their loved ones and I hope that this contribution will help in some way to bring us closer to a world without dementia.

This cause is very close to my heart as I am sure it is to many of you reading this, so if you are able to contribute to Alzheimer’s Society it really would be so appreciated.
