Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 15th of September this year i will be running the Bupa Great North Run (13.1 miles......!!!!) in memory of the beautiful Alexander Strong. For those of you who dont already know Lex's story.....

Alexander, aged 7 passed away surrounded by his family and the love and support of the Bluebell Wood Childrens  Hospice on 25th of January this year, after a three year battle against the childhood cancer Neuroblastoma. Thousands of people from all corners of the globe had followed his fight, and his smile, his courage and dignity touched the lives of many. The Strong family (by name and by nature!) have requested that fundraising continues in memory of their amazing son and to support the charities that have supported them during their time of need.

This is quite simply why i have chosen to run for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice. It is a beautiful place where children with a shortened life expectancy can go to recieve specialist care and support. It is also a place where families of these very special children can rest and recieve help, support and advice at the worst possible time in their lives.

Please dig deep for this charity, help other children like Alexander, who need this care. Please sponsor me as much or as little as you can and keep Lexy's memory alive.

Warmest thanks

Carrie xxxxxx
