Story
A little about me for those who don't know me.
I'm Molly, aged 13, I was diagnosed with EDS at age 3, since then I've faced many challenges along the way, from missing 40% of school to attending many appointments.
Over the last few years learning to control my own limits have been difficult ( I guess I just want to join in like most children my age)
Building my fitness up is very important but is also has it's down sides, most physical exercise will leave me in pain, often missing more school to rest, also taking strong medication! However learning my limits is something im trying to focus on in order to enjoy everything I achieve.
EDS awareness is incredibly important to me, Many people still haven't heard about the many types of EDS, I feel its my time to push myself beyond my limits, I will hurt and may shed a tear afterwards but I count myself one of the lucky ones, if I have the ability to push myself I shall do this for not only myself but for those who can't.
My chanellnge for EDS awareness month shall be to complete the Croxby crawl, this is quite famous were I live! 4.5 miles with some pretty steep hills along the way!
If your free please come cheer me on or even better join In, this charity helps so many people young and old so please donate if you can or please share my page to get the much needed awareness out there.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Molly Donnelly.
I have joined the challenge to spread awareness and raise funds for Ehlers-Danlos syndromes May Awareness Month. Please support me by donating to my fundraising page. Together, even a small amount can make a huge difference!
The Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) are a group of heritable connective tissue disorders that can effect multiple systems of the body. Symptoms that are often seen across all types are hypermobile joints, (that can move farther than normal), stretchy skin, & fragile tissues. Each case is unique and severity may range dramatically, even within families. The Ehlers-Danlos Society is a global community dedicated to saving & improving the lives of those affected by the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, hypermobility spectrum disorders, & related conditions. Our goal is world-wide awareness and better quality of life for all who suffer from these conditions, regardless of geography.
