Matty was born at 39 weeks 5 days, although he never showed any breathing difficulties I was sure something was wrong with the way he breathes,as he had resessions. I kept bugging docs and health vistors, all kept saying he had a cold. At 7 weeks he was admitted to hospital with suspected bronchiolitis, he was in an oxygen box for 10 days, then sent home. At four months he was back in with pneumonia, it was then that they were unable to resolve his problems, and so he became oxygen dependent, I spent 5 weeks in my local hospital and another week in leicester royal infirmary. Matty has had nurmerous tests, including two CT scans and recently a Lung Biopsy. He has been diagonised with Follicular Bronchiolitis, a rare Interstitial Lung Disease. He also has unusual thickening of his alveoli sacs, making oxygen transfer harder. He was also born with a PFO in his heart, which has since healed, he also has a functional MBL deficiency which is a immunity problem.
