Story
Many charities are struggling at the moment for obvious reasons, and although Kate and I were planning on taking part in a charity hike in Bavaria in September, to raise much needed money, this, like so many other fund raising events has had to be cancelled. Striding out on one of our Saturday morning hikes, usually around 7 miles, I had the brilliant idea of walking 100 miles in the month of August!! 25 miles a week is a bit of an ask with what is currently very much a desk based job so we will need to make every step count. Since the Charitable Foundation was founded in 1992, over £98.2m has been raised and distributed to children and young people with special needs, the hospice movement, cancer charities, mental health charities and more recently NHS charities and local food banks, to name just some. Its vitally important to get money to these charities but I'm also aware that I'm asking for your donations at a time of great uncertainty in terms of job security and very possibly reduced income. Whatever you can give to support our creaking knees and blistered heels will be hugely appreciated.
Thanks you.
