Our RNLI lifeboats in East of England protect hundreds of communities through our 24-hour search and rescue service. They rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from.

Story

Our RNLI lifeboats in the East of England protect hundreds of communities through our 24-hour search and rescue service. They rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from. The stunning coastline of Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Lincolnshire are enjoyed by millions of people from across the country every year. But the water remains an unpredictable environment that can catch people out. People will always need our help and we will always be there to answer that call.Keeping a modern fleet of lifeboats maintained, fuelled and ever ready to go to the rescue from all 17 of the lifeboat stations in East of England is expensive and we rely entirely on voluntary donations to ensure this service is maintained.

raising funds in memory of Richard Watson .

I Carolyn met Watty's wife after Watty was killed in a road traffic collision , Watty's wife has got me through some of my darkest times with grief after i lost my dad so i wanted to do something meaningful back and have chosen to raise funds for the RNLI in Watty's name  by stand up paddle boarding 50km in a day along the river witham from lincoln to Boston on 8th october 2023
