Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I set this up to collect donations for Amnesty International in memory of Mary Ball my wonderful neighbour and friend of over 35 years. Mary died peacefully at the age of 102 (and a half). She was a truly remarkable woman. She lived independently for over 50 years after the death of her husband John. She was the most intelligent and compassionate person and I feel honoured to have known her. Her values were ahead of the times. She believed passionately in human rights, particularly in the power of education, having been a Teacher herself throughout her career. This page is my way of saying thank you to Mary, for the kindness she showed to me and the values she taught me. Much love to her family and all those who knew her.
