Story
Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving
page.
When I started working at The University of Liverpool in 2019, I was amazed by research conducted at the University and how it benefits our wider global community.
This year, the University has responded to the Covid-19 pandemic
in many ways, including: supporting the COVID-19 research programme, supporting our wonderful NHS, supporting our students (through the Student Crisis Support Fund) and supporting the local region. You can read how they’re making a difference here: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/coronavirus/
We are still in uncertain times – only through ground-breaking
research can we better understand the virus and look into how we can combat it’s impact upon our communities.
I would like to contribute in small way, so I’m planning to go ‘dry’ for 30 consecutive days until 2nd October 2020, during this time I will make a donation of what I would usually spend on my favourite tipple – vin-rouge! If you would like to support me, please buy me a ‘virtual drink’ and help contribute to bashing Covid-19 on the head and supporting our students who are in financial crisis as a result of the pandemic.
It's going to be tough, as anyone who knows me, knows I love a glass of vin rouge on a Friday and Saturday, but it's time to wine down, for a wonderful cause!
