Story

May is the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK's Awareness Month, and the charity has organised a 'Get Active in May' fundraising drive. They're linking up families and supporters of the charity in a virtual Round Britain Relay, where the community will complete 2,992 miles or 7,063,080 steps (or maybe more) and raise valuable funds for PWSA UK in the process.

Being old and currently a little bit broken, I can't run, but I can do my bit by walking and swimming. The dog will be joining me (for the walking, not the swimming, that would break all sorts of pool rules, I imagine) and Josie will hopefully also join me with some walking in the latter part of May (she's still recovering from a ligament injury at the moment, and is milking it for all she's worth!).

PWSA UK is a small charity which has been unable to hold many of its usual fundraising activities due to the Covid crisis, and really needs your help to survive and continue its fantastic work. It's been a lifesaver for Josie and our family.

About the charity

Prader-Willi Syndrome is a rare genetic abnormality causing physical and mental disabilities throughout life. PWSA UK is the only UK organisation dedicated to supporting those with PWS, their families/carers and the professionals involved with them. Please do visit at www.pwsa.co.uk.
