Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.I have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to ride in the Macmillan charity race at York this year, doing something that I love for an extremely worthwhile cause.

I have been involved in racing since I left school, working for northern trainers David Chapman, David Nicholls and Nigel Tinkler. I was lucky enough to hold an apprentice jockey license, riding in over 60 races and riding 3 winners. I now work for myself breaking in horses for other people and last year rode my own horse Woteva to win the Kiplingcotes Derby,  which is thought to be Englands oldest horse race.

My partners father was diagnosed with cancer last year and it made me more aware of the help and support given by the Macmillan Charity to both the patient and their families.
