Story

On 8th October 2014, my daughter Anna took her own life aged just 19.

Anna lived her all-too-short life to the full; leaving lasting memories for those who knew her.  She was there for others and often put their needs before her own.  She made her mark in her own unique way and not a day goes by when her quirkiness is not missed in some way.

Anna's Angels Cycling Crew is a mixed group of cyclists; family and friends of varying skills - one person didn't even have a bike when they signed up to do the ride!
We are taking part in the ride because of one person - Anna.
As well as me (Anna's mum), the crew is made up of: Juliette (Anna's auntie), Tom (Anna's brother), and friends of both Anna and myself: Abbie, Annette, Keith, Will, Frann, Jane, Katy, Sophie and Clare - a fantastic group of people - prepared to put themselves through this experience to remember a special young woman.

We have come together for the challenge in honour of Anna's memory. We also hope to raise awareness of some of the issues that young people face as well as the support that can be available to see them through the difficult times.
We are fund-raising both for Papyrus and for Beat (offering advice & support to those affected by eating disorders).
