A friend shared a link to this fundraising challenge on Facebook and I just knew I had to sign up! Anyone who knows me knows I love animals and especially cats, my little black fur baby Bella is my constant companion and I have almost always had at least one feline friend 🐱. I also love to travel so this challenge although tough with very basic facilities (did I mention I hate camping 😩) will combine my great passions in one!

Here's a quick summary of what I'll be up to as the main event. Discover Zambia by water! Join fellow cat lovers on this once-in-a-lifetime canoeing adventure on the mighty Zambezi River.

Eleven days in total, you'll spend three full days of your challenge winding your way downstream in a canoe before camping on the river bank for a truly wild African experience.

You will then learn about lion conservation on a one-day visit to a project in Livingstone and join two safari drives to try to spot lions in the wild, along with other amazing wildlife!

As well as this main challenge I'll also be putting on regular fundraising events in my local area with bake sales, raffles and the sale of homemade and upcycled items with the proceeds going towards my fundraising goal.
