I did it, I did it, I did it!!!!

The photo to the left was taken 18 months ago when David and I first took up running. That was a mere 10km race! Since then, we have run 8 half-marathons between us. When I ran my first half-marathon back in March last year, I returned home to find my mum, Pauline, lying on her living room floor, having suffered a stroke. I so wanted to tell her about my success, but she never got to know about my running achievements.

I hope that by running this Marathon in my mum's memory, I can raise sufficient money to help prevent one of the 280 strokes that will occur today in the UK.
