Hoots Man!......Is this complete madness?!!!!!

Signing up for a marathon for JDRF seemed like a good idea last summer... London rejected me, so Edinburgh here I come!!!  This is way beyond any distance I have ever run before, and I am c**p  at following training plans, so it's going to be an organisational challenge, as well as a physical challenge for me! I will be pleased just to get around! :-)

It's now over 2 years since diagnosis, and Iona's diabetes hasn't gone away..she deals with it every day and it affects everything she does.  Only seems fair that I go though some pain to support her!

JDRF are coordinating groundbreaking research to find a cure for diabetes. They are funding projects in leading universities in the UK and all over the world and are inching forwards in their understanding of the hows, whys and potential cures...but it is painstaking and expensive work.
