I am running to raise money for Shooting Star Chase.  Our little boy Henry, 4,  has been under the care of Chase since he was 1.  Henry has brain abnormalities, cysts inside his brain, hydrocephalus, epilepsy and cerebral palsy.  The first couple of years of his life in particular was more than tough.  He battled numerous brain operations and relentless seizures.  We realised quickly and painfully Henry had complex needs, and his life was fragile.

Shooting Star Chase is a children's hospice.  Our initial thoughts on Henry accessing support from them were very quickly proved wrong when we realised instead of sadness and sorrow, going there filled us with love, happiness, joy, laughter, support and friendship.

The team are dedicated, caring and supportive and over the last 3 years we have received valuable respite, support, much needed councelling, the opportunity to attend wonderful events and network with some simply amazing families.

Please, please help me raise money for them.  They do a wonderful job and help us and other families more than words can say.

I know it's not a marathon, but 10k is a big achievement for me. Before I trained I honestly couldn't have run for more than five minutes without passing out!

I am running with our brave boy firmly in my heart.  But also I am running with Henry's angel friends firmly in my heart too...Henry's Princess Grace, Olivia, Sean, Sully, Elsie and Isaac.  The sky at night shines so much more brightly for having such beautiful stars in the sky.
