Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page I am a consultant breast surgeon at Yeovil District hospital and together with Becky Laney,  a breast care nurse at the hospital, we are raising money to fund a brand new breast cancer unit. We desperately need the unit so we can offer our patients a welcoming clinic environment, efficient breast assessment with state of the art diagnostic equipment for people with breast cancer.

We wanted to do something special that would really  challenge us so we chose to walk the full circumference of the Isle of Wight in just 5 days. We had planned a great Spanish walk but COVID has complicated matters so we are staying closer to home!  We will be trekking for 5 days to walk all the way around the island which has some particularly challenging sections. We are novice trekkers and will be training throughout the spring to get trek ready for July. We’re  dusting off our walking boots and stocking up on Elastoplast for our toes!
