Cancer Research is a charity very close to my heart.

Most of you know, I lost my mum to this horrible disease when I was only 16 years old and have also lost other family members - my Auntie Josie, Grandma and Nana.

Recently too, Allens mum was diagnosed with Cancer (she has now had the "all clear" and just has to go for regular check ups) and also some of my very close friends have all had Cancer come into their families lives over the last few months.

It is such a horrible disease and at the moment seems to be stronger than ever.  I am one of the lucky ones and thanks to Cancer Reasearch and The Familiy History Centre at the Genesis Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, get regular checkup through out the year.
