I am a member of a local running club, The Polegate Plodders, and am taking part in my first ever half marathon next March along with several other brave Plodders.  We want to raise funds for  a local charity and a friend suggested CWCF in Polegate.  I contacted the charity and having spoken to them about the support they offer children and their families as they deal with their battle against cancer, I was touched by their warmth, spirit and determination to bring a little joy at such a difficult time.  One of the things they do is grant the child with cancer a wish. They also offer siblings and the whole family support; but this comes at a price.

The Plodders are a determined bunch and not only want to finish the half marathon but want to raise enough money to pay for a wish.  Please make time to visit the CWCF website to see the fantastic work they do. (www.childrenwithcancerfund.co.uk) This work has recently been recognised as they were voted Charity of the Year at the Sovereign Awards 2015, but they still need continued support and fund raising.

We have set a goal of raising at least £131; that equates to £10 for every mile of the half marathon, but with your help I am sure we can exceed this target.
