Story

As most of my family, friends and colleagues know I broke my marathon duck last year, not once but twice running both the London and Paris Marathons.

I ran them for the Downs Syndrome Society in remembrance of my sister Cookie, her daughter Alexandra and my Mum who turned 90.

I have decided to run Paris one more time, courtesy of Schneider Electric and am “Running for Josephine” the wife of my colleague and mentor, James McGill.

James has been an inspiration to me and to many others and now Josephine his wife is enduring the most horrid of diseases, lung cancer.

So I have decided to run the Paris Marathon for Josephine, to give a little bit back to James and his family for all the support he has given me.

All donations will go to “The Lung Cancer Foundation for Young Women”, and is the first of its kind non-profit organization.

The intent of this foundation is to provide information and assistance in support of each ladies battle with lung cancer, and goes on to state that:

if you are a woman at any age, diagnosed with and actively being treated for lung cancer, do not Give Up! Your fight is about you, and your attitude to win.

Many thanks in advance for your support.
