June last year I was taken into hospital with severe aneamia a. The cause has yet to be discovered, but is possably reaction to antibiotics and or strong decongestant. Possibly also some kind of system attack or fungal infection. I've been on steroids (still on low dose) and escaped dialysis by a whisker. My kidneys are now up to between a third and half function, brill considering they were next to nothing! I feel lucky and I feel well compared to the lovely people I met in hospital renal ward. I also have two people in the line dance classes I teach and friends who have kidney trouble. Marcia, doing well after transplant, and a couple of others with kidney history.
