Story
The South London Botanical Institute (SLBI) is a magical place that encourages and enables local schools, families and groups to study plants. As with most places, the SLBI has had to close its doors to schools and visitors due to the Government's lockdown requirements for Covid19. At a time of ecological crisis, when we need more people to learn about the importance and beauty of the plant world, I'm fundraising to help keep this special place thriving.
I've been lucky enough to work at the SLBI since 2014, and know how much it manages to do with very little money. I really want to make sure that it survives the Covid19 crisis and keeps its work going long into the future.
During lockdown I've taken a lot of photos of the wildlife visiting my garden, as well as of the plants changing through the seasons. I'm using these as a basis for a fun story about these wild characters, aiming to mention at least 50 plants along the way.
