Story
If, like me, you feel completely helpless when it comes to climate change, you've come to the right place. I am running the Bristol Half Marathon this September to raise money for a charity that works tirelessly to ensure climate change is tackled on a government level, promoting a climate recovery plan that ensures the planet remains habitable for future generations. Without proper government action and policies that prioritise the protection of our planet, the destruction of our environment won't be curbed on time.
I have chosen to support Friends of the Earth Charitable Trust, a registered charity that has already achieved some huge wins, from passing the world's first climate change law to winning a court case against the government over the expansion of Heathrow Airport – and I want to help them do more.
If you have the means to donate, please consider supporting my fundraiser and helping Friends of the Earth in their fight for real solutions to environmental destruction. Thank you!
How your donation can help:
- £25 can provide resources to pressure local councils to take action
- £150 can help campaigners influence the government to adopt their Green and Fair Recovery Package
- £500 can help fund vital research on climate solutions
