Story
Brain tumours kill more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet receive only 1% of national cancer funding. I have known several people personally affected by brain tumours, including my own family, and so have seen how devastating they can be. For this reason I have supported Brain Tumour Research for several years.
Most charities have been hard-hit in 2020, finding it difficult to raise funds during the pandemic. Brain Tumour Research has joined forces with 20 other charities for lesser known cancers to create the '20 for 20 Challenge' this autumn. Supporters are committing to completing 20 individual challenges during October and November.
I am planning to paint 20 model horses or medallions during the period 30 October to 30 November. I am a slow painter so this will definitely be a challenge for me! At least 20% of the horses will be donated to model horse hobby events so that they in turn can support other charities.
I would very much appreciate any sponsorship, large or small, to encourage me with this challenge. You can follow my progress via Facebook and also here, where I will post photos of the models as I complete them.
Thank you so much,
Caroline
