Royal Parks Half Marathon 2013 · 6 October 2013 ·

We fund research that will lead to treatments and cures for neurological conditions, we bring researchers together and patients of all disorders, to share ideas, support innovation and deliver results. We are currently involved in trials for DIPG brain tumours, Parkinson's Disease and MND.

Story

Funding Neuro hopes to advance cures for conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, Huntington's, MND, tumours, strokes and epilepsy. Their initial focus is on reliable methods of delivering drugs and therapeutic devices through the blood brain barrier.

I first heard of Funding Neuro through Bryn Williams, founder of Wobbly Williams, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's aged 36. His decision to turn his diagnosis into a positive and fundraise for vital research has been a real inspiration.

My uncle Brian has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's and so I will be running for him, Bryn, and everyone that this research will help.
