CAROLINE’S KILIMANJARO CHALLENGE………
On the 24th March 2011 i will be taking on the world’s largest freestanding mountain and tackling 5896m of moorland, rainforest, barren landscape, ravines, volcanic rock and finally the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro!
Here's the important bit!.. EVERY penny raised through 'Just Giving' will go straight to ANNA’S HOPE! A local charity set up to give hope to children and young people with a brain tumour by providing better rehabilitation support for them and funding research into finding a cure. The generosity of sponsorship for the entire challenge has been funded by CITY TYRE SERVICES PETERBOROUGH and CONCORDE TYRE and EXHAUST CENTRES in WISBECH and HAMPTON. The Company has also vowed to match the donations raised which will hopefully send another whopping cheque to another great cause......A very special school with a big heart…LEIGHTON PRIMARY SCHOOL and AUTISM PROVISION in PETERBOROUGH. Money raised for this cause will go towards life enrichment experiences for children who attend the school.
Please give generously! These are two great causes that desperately need our help!.... Oh and wish me luck!

Anna’s Hope is a charity dedicated to giving Hope to children and young people diagnosed with a Brain Tumour. It was inspired by Anna Olivia Hughes, who tragically died from a brain tumour aged only 3 years and 8 months, and was set up by Anna’s parents Rob and Carole Hughes and her five Godparents in October 2006.
What can this charity do?
Following further investigation with consultants and scientists, they have confirmed that much more could be done for children diagnosed with brain tumours, specifically in the area of research and aftercare. Therefore the aim of the trust will be to raise money to fund research into the cure of children with brain tumours and improve the rehabilitation facilities and support available to those children who are hopefully cured.
