Story
Thank you so much for visiting my page... Please read all below.
So, I'm cycling the Devon Coast to Coast! Starting from Ilfracombe, 100 miles in 3 days ending in Plymouth, just me, my bike and my Pug (If she can handle the wind chill factor in training)... in the depths of Autumn!
Aside from the notorious hilly sections (with 7kg of Pug plus tent) it will be the cold, lack of daylight hours and rain that makes this a challenge for me. Eek!
I'm not really one for telling my 'own story' even though I like to hear other people's. I will be doing this a little bit for my story but most importantly I will be cycling for those of YOU I know who have lost a person who was close to you... Kelly, Bev, my dear Brother, my Father, Jess, Juliet, Mikey, Erica, Emma Adams, Jane Adams, Ben B, Caroline, my other close family... to name a few.
I want to raise awareness that bereavement should be seen as an important and recognised process. Rather than something we feel we should 'get over' and perhaps not be spoken about.
Many people, young or old are helped, just by knowing Cruse are there. Whether it is helping people to understand their feelings following a death of someone close or by giving practical help with things that need to be done immediately after losing someone.
I found help from Cruse by simply reading one of their books after losing my wonderful Mum, Wendy and friends.
I would much appreciate it if you show your support for this charity and spread the word of its quiet work.
