Story
Craig & Amie Rachel and Lorna & Caroline Hollowood are running the Birmingham Half Marathon on October 20th 2013 in memory of Theo George Rachel.
Please help us support Birmingham Children's Hospital and remember this very special little boy.
Thank you very much in advance.
Here is Theo's story, in his father Dave's words.....
Theo George Rachel was born on 2nd November 2012 to Dave and Beverley Rachel. He had hyperplastic Left Heart syndrome which meant an initial 9 hour operation, followed by 10 weeks in Birmingham Children's Hospital. He came home with is for just over 3 weeks but died on 5th February.
While he was in hospital, we did a daily update on his progress, and the updates got picked up by family, friends and friends of friends all over the world, with people rooting for him to survive his struggle.
He touched a massive number of people, including people who he had never even met, and I truly believe his fighting spirit has moved and changed a number of people, none more so than myself.
I have set up this page to offer a way for people to say thank you in Theo's memory to Birmingham Children's hospital, the wonderful nurses, the brilliant surgeons and all of the support staff that keep the place running.
