Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money to increase the profile of Lupus which is an illness of the immune system. It can affect anybody with symptoms that have a hugely detrimental impact on people's health, including:

Extreme fatigue - Joint pain - Kidney problems -  Heart and lung problems - Rashes and Depression amongst many others.

My dad was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in 2006. I have seen firsthand the many restrictions this invisible illness has placed on his ability to undertake everyday activities. Lupus can be triggered by many other medical conditions however unfortunately there is currently no cure.

Lupus UK is the national charity that supports those affected by Lupus. The charity aims to support patients and carers, raise public and professional awareness of Lupus and pay for specialist nurses in the NHS. Your donations will help them to fund important research into finding more effective treatments and eventually a cure for this condition.
