Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Ed passed away in 2013, and before this he spent some time at the hospice for respite care.  The staff there (not just the fantastic nurses but EVERYONE) were kind, supportive, and respectful.  Not only did they care for Ed, they gave my mum the chance to just be a mum again and not a full time carer.  They enabled me to explain to my then 3 year old about coping with death and grief by providing me with information and books designed for children.  The beautiful grounds there were a source of happiness for us all when we were able to walk through them together.

For all of these reasons and more, I've been cajoled by my friends Nicky and Jen (who have their own experiences with the hospice) into the Welsh Three Peaks challenge!  We really want to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause, everything you donate will mean so much to us, the hospice and all of the people that they care for.
