We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

Hello everyone

Why the Great North Run again you ask?

Well, because every time I walk into the Aspire National Training Centre I feel humbled.   I moan and groan about the most trivial things, children not getting ready for school, slow drivers and too many emails to name but a few!I instantly feel guilty for being so unappreciative of what I have. Those with spinal injuries, whether working out, playing competitive sport or sitting in the Cafe are all so positive, enthusiastic and determined to achieve their personal goals, despite such horrendous injuries!

So I will wobble and puff my unfit body along the 13.2 miles and appreciate that raising some money for those courageous people is the least I can do!

1200 people a year suffer from a spinal injury and next year it could be someone I love, or someone you love!

Thank you so much for your donation, and enjoy your cup of tea and toast on Sunday 19th September whilst watching the race!
