Story
Once again Frank & Toby are strutting their stuff around a marathon, and for the first time are being joined by Caroline. They are running the first Brighton Marathon on Sunday April 18th - raising money as always, in memory of Zach, for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
Meningitis Research Foundation is a registered charity that fights death and disability from meningitis and associated infections by funding vital scientific research. They aim to defeat meningitis and septicaemia through research. Every penny they raise comes solely from donations.
There are currently 24 research projects in the programme. Since it was founded in 1989, the charity has awarded 128 research grants, leading to many advances in the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia. The total value of the Foundation's investment in vital scientific research is over £15.6 million.
Major advances have been made in the last few years not just to defeat meningitis in this country but around the world. In Africa meningitis kills more children than Aids and Malaria combined.
If you could make a donation, no matter how small, ourselves & the MRF would be really grateful. Thank you.
