Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am supporting the 2022 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal by walking 121 Miles in November.
This challenge takes place in November during the period of Remembrance. 121 is significant because it is 11 x 11, which represents the 11th day of the 11th month, a day where the nation comes together to remember the incredible sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces. 121 miles is also the approximate walking distance from the National Memorial Arboretum to the Cenotaph.
The RBL has been supporting the Armed Forces community for over 100 years and will continue to do so as long as they are needed. Money raised will go towards the area of most need providing emergency accommodation for a veteran in need, food vouchers for a family facing financial hardship or training for Admiral nurses to provide specialist support and care for a dementia patient.
