In memory of James Ashworth
We clean & maintain the graves of the brave to remember Victoria Cross recipients

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am trying to raise money for the Victoria Cross Trust, a charity that is dear to my heart after my step son, James Ashworth, was killed in Afghanistan last year and was awarded the Victoria Cross. There are so many graves of VC winners that are in a terrible state of disrepair which are not covered by the war graves commission. The charity are in desperate need of funds to restore the resting place of our heroes who should never be forgotten.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.

About the charity

The Victoria Cross Trust cleans and maintains the graves of the recipients of the highest award for Valour - The VC - that are not looked after by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. We also ensure that their memories are maintained through educating the public in a variety of different media. Through our network of veterans, to whom we provide support and activities to keep them active and fulfilled, and a network of volunteers we ensure that the 'graves of the brave' are not forgotten. Our charity is small but with a big name and we ensure that our donations are focused directly on our charitable aims and respecting the highest award for Valour - The Victoria Cross.
