CLAPA is a support organisation for all those affected by cleft lip and/or palate. One in 700 children are born with this condition. We provide information, advice, and support through our online events led by staff members and volunteers. Facebook groups, and peer and parent support services.

Story

Since we first opened our doors, Cotswold Clubhouse have always supported the Cleft Lip & Palate Association (CLAPA).

A member of our close family was born with a cleft lip and palate and for all of her short life, has battled surgeries, recoveries, new developments and the whole social aspect of it. This charity has and still provides her support, and support to many other thousands of children. Sadly, during this current situation, donations to charities have dropped and CLAPA are feeling the strain.

Saturday 2nd May sees the start of CLAPA's 2020 Awareness week and Cotswold Clubhouse has asked all staff, gymnasts and are also asking customers to join in on the challenge to travel the cumulative distance of 500 miles in 1 week, by either walking or running.

Whether it be a 10 mile run or a 1 mile walk, we are asking people to send us daily updates on their distance and we are hoping that by 10th May we will have achieved our 500 miles....and with that we are also asking people to share our just giving page and ask if they could help us raise  sponsorship for this cause. Any amount that people can donate is most welcome.

At a difficult time as it is right now, helping raise funds for those in need is a good dose of happiness for all!
