The Florence Nightingale Foundation scholarships provide an excellent vehicle for nurses to support their leadership development, and in turn improve care for their patients. 

The 2021 cohort for the Emerging Leaders Scholarship are looking to leave a legacy, and pay it forward. Receipt of a FNF Emerging Leaders Scholarship gives nurse leaders (Band 7-8b) the opportunity to look at their own leadership and conflict styles, undertake supported personal reflection to learn who they are as leader's and provides them a mentor to help with their professional development.

 I have had the amazing opportunity to be supported by the Florence Nightingale Foundation to grow and learn as a nurse leader. The scholarship gives me the chance to attend courses, network with other like minded scholars and get expert coaching and mentoring support. 

I am taking part in #NursesActive month to help raise enough funds to support a Scholarship place next year for another nurse to have the experience I have been so lucky to have.

Most people who know me well will know that activity can be a challenge as I have hypermobility syndrome and asthma, so my goal is to increase my activity each day to build my fitness and take part in some challenges along the way!
