Story
In 2009 we lost our sparkly Sharon to a subarachnoid haemorrhage at the age of 34. Our lives were devastated by her loss, none more so than her three sons, close family and numerous friends. We have raised an enormous amount of money since. Over 40k alone has been donated to the Brain and Spine Foundation.
This year is the 10th Anniversary of Sharon’s passing. We have decided to keep the fundraising closer to home. Over the years many of us have needed the support of St Michael’s Hospice, so this year we aim to support their work.
Team Sparkle was founded in 2009. Our familiar blue tops and Sharon’s sparkly face have decorated our town and other venues on many occasions. We have a team taking on the streets of Hastings for the Hastings Half Marathon on SUNDAY 24th MARCH 2019.
Please support our fantastic group of runners, walkers or crawlers through this event.
Participants are Lisa Morris, Matt Morris, Neil Sellman, Danielle Tomlin, Nadine Isted, Dan Isted, Kerrie Tolley-Cloke, Kerry Taylor, Sara-Jane Fox-Tuck, Sara Wadbrook, Mark Wadbrook , Paula Duffell, Steve Adams,, Andrew Blick, Sally Blick and Jacky Sidders.
I will add names as they come in.
As well as the runners, Steve Stapley and Graham Wood will be pushing Isabelle Everest around the course in her wheelchair.
Our super heroes, Neil Sellman and Sara Wadbrook will be running the Virgin London Marathon on SUNDAY 28th APRIL 2019. This is 26.2 gruelling miles! That’s TWO half marathons in one hit.
Please support them, please dig deep. Ten years is a lifetime of love and loss for us and the only way we can celebrate Sharon’s beautiful life is to raise as much money as we can in her memory. Thank you xxx
