Dad and I will be running the Great North Run, a half marathon, on Sunday 19th September.  For me, this will be second time I've run this race, the last time was 25 years ago! Dad, who is 74, has run 19 out of the 30 races held and will be doing his 20th!!

We will be running in memory of my mum, Valerie, who died of cancer last year and was Dad's greatest supporter.  We will be raising funds in aid of Bowel Cancer (UK) a charity that provides information and promotes research into Bowel Cancer and gives support to those diagnosed with it.

Please give whatever you feel you can afford, we will be very grateful no matter how small the amount, because we believe a lot of small things can make a big difference.
