Story
"Less than 1% of all the funds raised for research into cancer is devoted to brain tumour research, yet brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of our children and more people under the age of 40 die from brain tumours than from any other cancer."
On the 8th of July last year myself and 16 of my work friends completed the Leeds 10k at my brother Ian's request for the amazing work that cancer charitys do across the city. At the end of the race my brother was their to see us finish. This year my brother Ian will not be their in person as we lost him to this cruel illness that devastates families every day.
Ian dealt with his illness with the amount of courage I could never dream of having myself, he kept everyone smiling throughout with his amazing sense of humour and strength to save his family from the heartache we were and are still going through without a thought for himself. We lost a massive part of our lifes the day we lost Ian. Our lives will of course never be the same again, but I do know how proud he would have been knowing that we are raising funds to try stop other families going through the pain of losing someone so very special.
I don't ask for much as I know times are very hard but every penny counts. Please sponsor me for whatever you can afford.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
