Carol Aboyoun, 88 years young (07.06.1933 - 11.18.2021)

To everyone who knew her, Carol was a force of nature.  

Carol lived life to the fullest and was passionate about many things, including children and childhood education, animal rights, interior design, the arts, cooking, and gardening. She found her calling as a 1st grade teacher and for nearly 40 years, spent endless hours preparing lessons that would inspire and delight her young class, whom she adored and who adored her.  Carol was a loyal friend with a great laugh and sense of fun.  She was appreciated as a leader in her church group, organizing many cultural and social outings.

Carol was generous to a fault with her friends and family and supportive of many good causes. That included nurturing the wildlife roaming through her back yard in Wayne, NJ that she and her husband Monroe lovingly cared for throughout the seasons.  She even rescued a wild turkey living in her neighborhood that she feared the arriving animal control would harm, driving the turkey all the way upstate to save him.  Carol was a true animal lover who consistently fostered cats and kittens, looking after them while she found them forever homes.  

The great love of Carol’s life was her family.  She and Monroe raised three beautiful and successful children, Jane, David and Susan, all of whom were Carol's pride and joy and remained living nearby throughout their lives.  Her later years were made even more joyful by the addition of her six grandchildren, Adrienne, Christopher, Benjamin, Luke, Leslie and Jordan.  She loved planning and hosting trips and activities with them, and watching them grow.

Carol will be sorely missed by her friends and family alike and most of all by Monroe, her life partner of 70 years, who was fully devoted to her.
