Story
I am walking 10,000 steps every day in November to try and raise much needed funds for little Lana’s SDR operation. I hope you all take up a little of your time to read Lana’s page to get an understanding of how desperately Lana needs this op. She isn’t eligible to have it done under the NHS. Nikki, Lana’s mum has managed , through generous fund raising, to reach half of the required £45,000. We still need to get £23,000. Lana has recently been in hospital for botox injections in both legs, under general anaesthetic to numb the muscles to try and get some stability and ease the pain. This has been such a success, but it wont last forever and confirms that the SDR operation will improve her life so much. Please if you can, sponsor me on my walk, no matter how little it will help Lana achieve what she so deserves. Lana had a difficult start to life being born addicted to crack cocaine and heroin. She had to go through withdrawal as a newborn. She was born also with brain damage and cerebal palsy and has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy. Lana was adopted by Mum Nickki at just 1 year old. Since then Lana has progressed to being able to speak, feed herself and walk in her brace with mum supporting her from behind with handles on her brace. Lana having this operation would lead to Lana being able to stand on her own two feet. This little girl so deserves this fundamental physicality which we all take for granted every day. Please donate what you can and please share Lanas story. Thankyou.. Carol 🙌
