Story
Even though mum never spent any time in Bolton Hospice, it was a place which she always had in her heart and was inspired by the wonderful work they did. She was a regular contributor to their cause.
After spending 10 weeks in hospital from October, she was well enough to come home for Christmas. After a short time, she became unwell again and returned back to hospital for a second time. She came home again after a short stay and spent a week in respite care.
Unfortunately, she was back in hospital by February. On 12th February 2014, her 81st birthday, mum was finally at peace, surrounded by her loving family.
We are doing this walk in memory of mum as we know if she was fit enough, she would have loved to have done it.
