First ever Horse Ride at 73! · 18 July 2021

Its a constant battle at high hopes to fund raise - and every little helps. We set up this page to help make it easier for people to donate. We will be doing some fun events in the coming months and we hope this makes it easier for people to help!

Story

My granddaughter, Xera, attends High Hopes Riding School which provides riding sessions for any age group, to people who lack confidence to ride straight away. They have riders from as young as 4 who all have a physical or learning disability and in some cases both.

Xera loves her riding sessions at High Hopes, but the school relies on donations to continue their brilliant work.

So, when I was asked if I fancied having a horse riding lesson and being sponsored to do so, I jumped at the chance to help.

I'm 73 and have never ridden a horse in my life. I'm really nervous about it, but also really excited to be able to raise money for the riding school.

Please sponsor me, whatever you can, and if you're in Sheffield on July 18th, please come along to the school's open day and cheer me on!

Thank you.

Carol xx
