I am the mother of a child with autism and severe learning difficulties. My son Edward is 8 years old and attends Thomas Bewick Special School in Newcastle for children with autism. I also volunteer as a Branch Officer for the NAS NewcastleGateshead Branch. I am raising money for the NAS Resource Centre as it provides much needed and valued services such as the Parent Carer Coffee Mornings, the Youth Groups and various other events/conferences. The money you donate could go to the upkeep of these services or help with new groups.

My son requires full time care and support and cannot access normal day to day activities. He, like many others with severe autism, requires a more specialist service to live their lives.
