Story
Welcome to my fundraising page for my ramble oop North! I can't remember why but I've agreed to do another charidee event at work, a little less epic than my 180 mile bike ride, but pretty challenging for me none the less!
Everyone knows that us city girls aint built for country walks and this one is a 24 mile walk accross the historic Hadrian's wall - built to keep us celts out! So if you won't give me your money because you know i'm really unfit and find running for a bus a bit of a struggle then please donate because you like the fact that a Celt will be teasing her way across the Anglo/Scot border rubbing salt in old wounds :)
If that's not enough to persuade you, I didn't want to do the sincere 'charidee' plea but again, I'm walking in support of Help the Hospices who strive to provide the best possible care and dignity for terminally ill patients as well as providing support and comfort to the families struggling to cope with loosing a loved one. Hospices not only take care of people's physical needs, they consider their emotional, spiritual and social needs too. And they're not just for old people, though if you've read recent reports they really need our support too. They also support kids coming to terms with their life being cut so tragically short. A good cause I hope you will agree!
Thanks for listening and wish me luck!
