I have lost close family members and friends to this disease and know only too well the devastation it leaves behind. I also have a sister (Geraldine) in remission and research is therfore crucial to eradicate this horrid disease that affects so many across the world. 

I first encountered the ravages of Cancer when i lost my Mother to it in 2005, followed by Joan (an amazing and loyal sister) in 2008 and my dearest Pops in 2010. They remain close to me in memory but should have still been with us today if we had more stringent tests and treatment for the destruction that is cancer. Love them always and miss them forever.

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
