Story

Hi everyone. I am organising a sponsored walk in memory of Francie Owens (may his gentle soul Rest In Peace) in aid of Fermanagh Marie Curie trust. Anyone who has had to avail of these earthly Angels will know exactly the dedication, compassion, professional & loving manor in which the nurses carry out their skillful duties. I have experienced this first hand and can't praise them enough for the dignified, loving care, they provided for Francie. The support myself and Francie's family recieved in which were very difficult, painful, heartbreaking days was outstanding. Their level of care is beyond measure. Please help me support them.                                                                     The walk will take place in Arney on September 24th 2022 at 2.PM                       Starting point - Nixon Hall Trail ( locally known as Turners Lane) then on to Arney Battlefield Trail ( locally known as Peggy's way)  finishing up with a lap around Art Macmurchadha's Bellanaleck football field (Francie's Pride & Joy).                                          No fee is required to take part. All donations greatly accepted on the day and through this just giving page. There will also be collection boxes in local shops & bussiness's. Anyone can participate & bring their pets which must be on a lead. (Don't forget poop scoops). Walkers wishing to take part and feel they are unable for the full walk can join in at any part of the route. Unfortunately parts of the trail are not buggy friendly. Water will be provided on the day which has kindly been donated by Malcom Cathcart (Costcutter shop Bellanaleck) Thanks Malcom. Thanks also to Enniskillen Print Factory for sponsoring the posters. Cheers guys. Anyone wishing to light a candle in memory of their loved ones may do so in Arney Chapel when the walk has commenced. A donation has been made to Father Quinn in relation to this.

Please support this very worthy cause. Maybe one day you or your loved ones may need the help & support of these wonderful nurses & Marie Curie team. We are so blessed to have such a service. Every penny counts and is needed to keep Marie Curie going. They truly are amazing. Thanks everyone. Looking forward to seeing you on the day. X
