I completed the GNR in 2014 for the very first time. Although the training was hard, I was so proud of myself when I crossed the finishing line!!! It was a HUGE personal achievement as well as managing to raise almost 1k for Diabetes UK.

Unfortunately I am no longer able to run in the 2015 race due to work commitments however never one to shy away from a challenge I hope to complete the Great North 10k instead. I can't think of any better motivation than to run in memory of Fiona and raise money for a great cause, SADS UK. 

Fiona's death has had an immeasurable effect on both her family and friends and has left a little girl growing up without her Mammy. Whilst nothing can relieve their pain, I know it is comforting that the fundraising efforts since July will help to prevent other families from losing their loved ones.

Please dig deep and help SADS fund life saving equipment and research into sudden death.
