Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Earlier on in the year I had the amazing opportunity to film a documentary for the BBC about body image and helping me to see my beauty through the medium of photography even though I have no hair through Alopecia. At that time I felt ashamed of my bald head, I felt ugly....hideous in fact! Working with Alison Lapper and Rankin completely changed my opinion of myself and completely changed my life! I'm the happiest I have ever been about my self image and actually love my bald head, I stand proud and happily go out without a wig now, something I never thought I would do. It's down to them and the charity Alopecia UK that I am free from my emotional struggle. Alopecia UK were my lifeline when I first lost my hair and continue to support me and hundreds of other men, women and children to come to terms with losing their hair and the devastation it causes. They are a small charity and rely solely on donations and fundraising. I know that without them I wouldn't be where I am today. So to give something back I am holding a Red Carpet Night on Thursday 10th November so that friends and family can watch the documentary with me and raise as much as I can for this amazing charity. I've had some lovely prizes donated for a raffle and thought that for those that are unable to join me but still wanted to help and be part of it, I would set this up so that they can donate too!
Every penny helps, big or small so thank you for anything you feel able to give!!
