Story
In Loving Memory of my Dad (Billy) who was cared for in Marie Curie Belfast Hospice until his death on the 29th of October 2008. Also in loving memory of Ted Baraclough and Pete Wykes.
This is my fifth year of raising money for, and supporting Marie Curie and I hope I long continue to do so. Last year I took part in the Great North Swim for the first time as personal challenge and something to cross off my list of things to achieve/try. I was bitten by the bug and could not wait to register again for second event. So here we are in 2015 getting ready all over again. It is quite an experience if you have never swum in open water before. I would describe it as terrifying and exhilarating. It was an amazing experience and the biggest sense of achievement I've had for any sponsored event.
It is made all the more special by supporting the wonderful charity that is Marie Curie Cancer Care who really are angels to their terminally ill patients and families. I cannot say enough good things about so I won't try. Please do support me if you can by donating online here or by texting CGNS81 £(amount) to 70070. If you can't donate, you can share around wherever you are able. Many thanks as always.
